Geoff is a graduate of University of Toronto and received his Juris Doctor
(LLB) degree from Osgoode Hall Law School, York University. Geoff has
practiced law in St. Catharines since his call to the Bar in 1988. He articled
with the law firm of Daniel, Wilson, became an associate and then a partner.
In January 2001, together with Robert Wilson he formed Wilson, Spurr LLP
to concentrate on their preferred practice areas.

Geoff practices primarily in Regulatory Law and Compliance, commercial and business
transactions, real estate and estates.

Geoff provides strategic counselling services, including strategic communication,
crisis communication and issue management, public policy advocacy
and stakeholder relations He provides legal advice and representation to marketing
board clientele of the firm covering all aspects of regulatory governance and
enforcement, government relations, drafting and content of regulations, policies, by-laws,
advising respecting inter-provincial and export matters, corporate and regulatory litigation
matters and agreements.

Geoff has appeared at all levels of Ontario courts, the Federal Court of Canada and
the Supreme Court of Canada and various tribunals including the Ontario Farm Products
Marketing Commission, the Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Appeal Tribunal, the
Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, the Niagara Escarpment Commission and the
Consolidated Hearings Board.

Geoff lives with his family in St. Catharines.
